MY PATH TO UX DESIGN_

B.A. & M.A. in Information and Library Science

Tamkang University & National Chengchi University・Taipei, Taiwan
During my bachelor's degree, I explored fascinating topics like information architecture, information retrieval, and psychology. This journey sparked my passion for helping users find what they need in the easiest way possible. Through my first master’s program, I focused on researching user behavior and conducted a thorough analysis of user interactions on information systems. This research was recognized and published in the journal Interactive Learning Environments.

Project Researcher

National Chengchi University Social Science Information Center・Taipei, Taiwan
After graduation, I led the development of the Makerspace at NCCU, collaborating with various departments to assess user needs and translate them into practical solutions. As a project researcher, I organized the facility and trained users on equipment, guiding them through prototyping and iterative processes. I also worked with front-end engineers to design a user-friendly website that streamlined access to resources. This experience deepened my problem-solving skills, sparked my interest in designing digital products, and sharpened my communication, leadership, and management abilities.

M.S. in Computer Graphic Technology (UX)

Purdue University・West Lafayette, IN
After two years as a research assistant, I took my passion for enhancing user experiences to Purdue University to study User Experience Design. Throughout my academic journey, I led several UX design and research projects, focusing on transforming complex tasks into intuitive and accessible designs. Leveraging my background in Information Science, I combined analytical thinking with creative problem-solving in every project. I am dedicated to utilizing my expertise in user behavior research and data-driven design to connect user needs with technical implementation.

UX Designer

Contract
During my work as a contract UX designer, I collaborated with engineers, marketing teams, and other UX designers to develop digital products. This role enabled me to bridge the gap between design and implementation, ensuring that user-centered solutions were both technically feasible and aligned with business goals. The creative energy in UX design is truly inspiring. It is exactly why I'm passionate about this field and committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in digital experiences!

MY DESIGN Philosophy_

Design With Data

I believe great design starts with understanding people. That's why my design decisions are rooted in real insights about how people think, feel, and behave. I prioritize user research to ensure that every choice is informed by actual user needs. It's not just about making things look good (though that's important too). It's about go beyond aesthetics to deliver true functionality and purpose.

Problem-Solving

For me, design is all about solving real-world problems. Every decision I make aims to create intuitive solutions that directly address user challenges and simplify their experience. While problems can be complex, I believe solutions should be straightforward. My goal is to design experiences that are easy to use and minimize cognitive load, creating solutions that truly work for the people who will use them.

Be Adaptable

In the dynamic world of UX design, adaptability is key. Embracing iterations and making adjustments through testing and feedback are essential for continuous improvement. This flexible mindset not only enhances my design process but also facilitates smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams, where I believe diverse perspectives lead to better solutions.
